There is an accessible toilet in the foyer. Wheelchair users enter through the gate to the right of the main entrance. There is a ramp at the courtyard entrance, with a high threshold (5 cm).
The stair lift platform is 60 cm wide and 84 cm long. A wheelchair suitable for the platform, with a seat width of 42 cm, is available at the lift. On the upper floors, there are short but steep ramps and threshold strips (21–25%).
Wheelchair users are asked to notify the museum in advance where possible: +372 505 6862. The third floor and the attic exhibition hall are accessible only by stairs. Museum staff can assist, if necessary, with transferring from one chair to another and with using the stair lift.
Admission to the museum is free for a wheelchair user and their companion.
For visitors with visual impairments, tactile exhibits and Braille information panels are available in the exhibition rooms. A tactile floor plan of the building is located in the museum foyer. Tactile books help explain the exhibits and topics, including internal organs, the cell, sense organs, the male and female body, and intestinal parasites. Visitors are asked to notify the museum in advance when wishing to use the tactile books: +372 505 6862.
