Terms of use

1. General Provisions

1.1. These Terms of Use (hereinafter: Terms) govern the use of the Estonian Accessibility Information System (hereinafter: Portal).

1.2. The Portal is managed by [Company/NGO Name], registry code [Code], address [Address] (hereinafter: Manager).

1.3. The Portal is a platform aimed at collecting and mediating information regarding the accessibility of buildings and objects.

 

2. User Account and Authentication

2.1. Browsing the Portal's content is free of charge and available without registration (Visitor).

2.2. To use personal features (saving favorite objects, adding comments, sending suggestions), the user must log in via email address or Google account (Registered User).

2.3. Adding objects and managing information requires additional identity verification through the national TARA service (Smart-ID, Mobile-ID, or ID-card). A user verified via TARA can apply for Object Representative status.

2.4. The user is responsible for the security of their authentication means and account.

 

3. User Roles and Rights

3.1. Visitor: Can view published information about objects, paths of movement, and routes.

3.2. Registered User: Can save objects to the "My Favorites" list, add comments, and send improvement suggestions.

3.3. Object Representative: A Registered User whose connection with the object (as owner, manager, or authorized person) has been verified. Only the Object Representative has the right to:

  • Add new objects to the Portal;
  • Modify and update accessibility information related to their object.

 

4. Content Submission and Responsibility

4.1. The Object Representative bears full responsibility for the accuracy of the data and photos they submit. The information must correspond to the actual accessibility situation.

4.2. By uploading photos, the Object Representative confirms they hold the necessary copyrights and that the photos do not contain identifiable persons without their consent.

4.3. The Manager has the right to request additional evidence to verify the status of the Object Representative.

4.4. Registered Users undertake to follow good practices when adding comments. Offensive or inappropriate content is prohibited.

 

5. Processing of Personal Data

5.1. The Manager processes users' personal data (name, email, personal identification code) in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

5.2. Personal identification codes are collected via the TARA service solely for the purpose of identifying Object Representatives to ensure the reliability of the entered information. The personal identification code is not displayed publicly.

5.3. By logging in, the user gives consent for the processing of their data to the extent necessary to provide the Portal's functions.

 

6. Administrator Rights and Limitation of Liability

6.1. The Manager does not guarantee 100% accuracy of the user-generated content on the Portal and is not liable for any possible damages resulting from it.

6.2. The Manager has the right to remove content (comments, photos, objects) that is outdated, incorrect, or violates these Terms.

6.3. The Manager has the right to restrict user access to the Portal if the user repeatedly violates the Terms.

 

7. Dispute Resolution

7.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia.

7.2. All disputes shall be resolved through negotiations. If an agreement cannot be reached, the dispute will be settled in Harju County Court.
