Description
The Danish King’s Garden is located in Tallinn’s Old Town, on the hillside of Toompea facing St. Nicholas' Church (Niguliste). According to legend, during the Danish crusade in 1219, a flag fell from the sky at this very spot. This event brought good fortune in battle to King Valdemar II, and the flag later became the national flag of Denmark. The path leading to the Danish King’s Garden has a steep 12% incline and an uneven surface; assistance is required for visitors with limited mobility. Specialized solutions for visitors with visual or hearing impairments are currently unavailable.
