| Description | |
| House of Black Heads is home to the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and the Estonian Centre of Contemporary Music . It is a building in active public use, with concerts, performances and other events aimed at the public taking place in its halls. The entrance for visitors with special needs is with assistance, from Pikalt Street. There is a loop amplifier phono lock at the front door of the building for communication, so that they can signal themselves if they need help to enter. To facilitate the movement of visitors with visual impairments, there is a guideway on the sidewalk leading to the phono lock and a tactile path made of stainless steel slats in the lobby from the main door to the building's information desk. The information desk is staffed by an employee who directs the person to the appropriate place. For visitors with mobility aids, there is a modular, removable ramp with a load capacity of 300 kg at the main door of the building, which creates a ramp through the portal from the street into the building. The doors in the building's wind tunnel have a holding mechanism. There is a staircase on the first floor, which also functions as a stair lift, between the lobby and the Green Hall, with a load capacity of 400kg. The building has an elevator with a load capacity of 500kg, which connects the basement, first and second floors. In addition, there is a ramp with armrests to reach the basement hall and a platform lift with a load capacity of 300kg on the basement floor. To ensure the usability of the building for the hearing impaired, there are loop amplifiers at the information desk, in the Great Basement Hall, the White Hall, the Olavi Hall and the Vendade Hall. There is a disabled toilet in the fireplace room behind the ticket offices on the first floor, as well as near the elevator on the second floor. |
